Now the country’s shooting associations can obtain monitored alarm transfer from Multicom Security at favourable price. This became obvious since the Shooting Organisations’ joint delegation have signed an exclusive agreement with Multicom Security AB. The agreement is advantageous for the shooting movement since it comprises a large number of associations, of which many have shown an interest in joining.

Normally, Multicom Security only offers monitored alarm transfer. However, in this case, in order to make it easier for shooting associations, Multicom Security is supplying a complete package with not only alarm transfer but even alarm reception. The alarm receiver is a Securitas alarm centre.  However, the alarm installation itself is not included in the package. The associations will have to purchase this themselves from an appropriate alarm installer.

The shooting organisations comprised by this agreement are the Swedish Sport Shooting Association, the Swedish Pistolshooting Association and the youth organisation of the Shooting movement.

- For natural reasons, the Police have high demands when it comes to safety and security in shooting associations. Thus, we are proud that the shooting organisations have chosen to collaborate with us with regard to monitored alarm transfer. At the same time, it nice that we are able to offer these associations a really good agreement since the base their activities on voluntary work and membership dues, says Bo Blåeldh, Deputy Managing Director and Marketing Director at Multicom Security.

Both wire-bound and wireless

Muticom Security offers both wire-bound and wireless monitored alarm transfer.  The wire-bound service is supplied via the Multicom network, which is a monitored permanent network. The wireless alarm transfer service comprised by the agreement with the shooting associations is called Multicom M10 and was introduced onto the market during the autumn of 2004. Multicom M10 is based on GPRS technology and uses the GSM networks for communication with the alarm centre.

If the alarm transfer is disabled by a technical fault or sabotage, a connecting alarm is activated displaying that there is a fault. This is made possible via short control messages transmitted regularly between the alarm installation and alarm centre. Thus, it will be impossible for a burglar to avoid detection by cutting the telephone wire or by jamming the GSM network. The installation of Multicom is simple and can be carried out in conjunction with a new installation or as a complement to an existing alarm.

The shooting associations can purchase both the alarm installation and alarm transfer from any of Multicom’s resellers listed on www.multicomsecurity.se.
