Multicom Security today launches Multicom Infolarm. A new, smart monitored alarm service which sends information about an alarm directly to a mobile phone or an email recipient. With Multicom Infolarm, both large and small organisations have better control over their alarm-installations allowing easier management of and more effective response to alarm conditions. In addition, customers can see real-time pictures on the Infolarm website of locations that have camera monitoring.

“With Multicom Infolarm we are increasing the value and functionality of the monitored alarm services we offer to our customers. We have responded to customer requirements for enhanced visibility and greater control of alarm installations with remote management and flexible notification of alarm information. This new service can be used with existing Multicom Security monitored alarm locations and also for new installations using our recently introduced range of IP based alarm monitoring services.”, says Andrew Carver, CEO, Multicom Security AB.

The new service proactively informs customers about alarm conditions via SMS, e-mail or the web. There is an optional alarm mapping feature that provides a visual, map-based representation of alarm installations and conditions for organisations with multiple alarm locations. In addition, it is possible to see real-time or stored pictures from those locations served by camera surveillance. The Infolarm website displays alarm activity history with reported actions and activities taken. This information can be accessed by authorised users via the web or a WAP page on a mobile device.

A further useful feature of Infolarm is alarm acknowledgements. For example, if a person is not acknowledging an alarm, the message is forwarded to the next contact on the escalation list. This is a useful feature for organisations where several persons are on alarm duty.

Multicom Infolarm has been designed to operate with the 35,000 existing Multicom Online monitored alarm connections in Sweden. It is also compatible with Multicom wireless alarms as well as recently anounced IP-based alarm monitoring services from Multicom Security and SecuriNet, Norway.
