    The power company Ringsjö Energi has equipped its operations centre with Mobitex – Multicom Security’s service for secure and reliable mobile data communications. To reduce downtime in their power distribution, Ringsjö Energi installed a Mobitex solution on four motor-driven actuators that are used to control the routing of power in the network. Being able to remotely control the routing rather than physically driving to the location reduces downtime for network disruptions and maintenance.Read more

    The Swedish Bailiffs Court and the Tax Authority have equipped some of their field work force with a new type of mobile personal alarm. The alarm is a pocket mobile device that is also used as an advanced working tool with a built-in GPS navigation system.   • The Municipality in Gävle, Sweden, securing day-care centres with new IP monitored alarms.News 5 February 2007

    Gävle Municipality has started an extensive project to raise the security in approximately 75 pre-school, day-care centres in the municipality. By routing all the security alarms over the city Wide Area Network (WAN), the reliability of alarm signals reaching the Alarm Response Centres (ARCs) has been improved. The new IP-based, alarm monitoring technology from Multicom Security passes alarm signals over a managed IP network and not over the public Internet. It also enables camera surveillance that deters crime, and allows pictures of the premises to be seen during an alarm situation.Read more

  • Swedish Road Administration gets on top of snow clearingNews29 January 2007

    The Swedish Road Administration Production (SRAP) has made sure it will have a better view of road conditions this winter. The snow plough vehicles in Lerum and Kungälv will be fitted with equipment that transmits information on where the ploughs spread grit and clear the roads from snow. This will allow the SRAP to have an accurate overview of the road conditions. Multicom Security has delivered the technology that will ensure that information from the vehicles is delivered in a safe and reliable manner.     Automated Teller Machines (ATM) will become more secure and more cost effective to administer with new IP-based alarm monitoring technology. Multicom Security will, together with the alarm installation company, Zenita, deliver a service that combines the ATM data traffic with alarm signals over a common connection.
